When conducting international logistics, for the wooden furniture to be moved, many customers heard that operations such as fumigation would be troublesome. Therefore, VIPU Supply Chain International Logistics summarized many years of experience in shipping wooden furniture overseas. For wooden furniture, Whether fumigation is needed in international logistics, the following suggestions are given for your reference. 1. First of all, what is fumigation? In international trade (also applicable to international logistics), countries in order to protect their own resources, implement compulsory quarantine systems for some imported goods. Wood packaging fumigation is a mandatory measure to prevent harmful pests from harming the forest resources of the importing country. Therefore, for export goods containing wood packaging, the wood packaging must be detoxified before shipment. Fumigation is one of the methods of detoxification. Wooden packaging generally refers to materials used for packaging, bedding, supporting, and reinforcing goods, such as wooden boxes, wooden crates, wooden pallets, dunnage wood, wooden barrels, wooden cushions, sleepers, wooden linings, wooden shafts, and wood lumber Wait. 2. My goods have wooden furniture, do they need to be fumigated? If the furniture uses wood packaging, the IPPC must be marked according to the destination country of the logistics. For example, if the packaging of goods from the European Union, the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia and other countries is packaged in softwood packaging, it must be fumigated. However, the wooden furniture itself does not need to be fumigated (except for logs), whether it is new or old. 3. The furniture I want to transport uses wooden packaging. How to operate if it is fumigated? If the packaging of the outbound goods is natural wood packaging, fumigation is carried out. The fumigation team fumigates the container according to the box number, that is, after the goods arrive at the site, the professional fumigation team will mark the IPPC logo on the package. (Customs broker) Fill in the fumigation contact form with customer name, country, box number, medicine used, etc. → (fumigation team) labeling (about half a day) → fumigation (24 hours) → powder medicine (4 hours). 1) Fumigation can be divided into FCL fumigation and LCL fumigation FCL fumigation: (1) There is no need to add the 'IPPC' logo, and the goods will be packed directly after arriving at the venue, and the fumigation team will be notified to perform fumigation, and spray different scales according to the destination country The fumigation agents are divided into CH3BR and PH3. If the customer has no special requirements, the fumigation team will spray CH3BR agents for 24-hour fumigation. (2) Need to add the 'IPPC' logo: after the goods are delivered to the site, they will land on the site and inform the customs broker where the goods landed. The fumigation team will put the words 'IPPC' on the front and back of each package, and then arrange the site for packing . Then fumigation. (3) Fumigating the packaging: submit the inspection documents to the customs for commodity inspection, and then fumigate the packaging. LCL fumigation: The fumigation of LCL cargo can be placed in the same container for fumigation, but the following four conditions must be met at the same time: 1. The same port of destination 2. The same country 3. The same voyage 4. The same voyage Commodity Inspection Bureau inspection. 2) Some requirements for fumigation (1) Fumigation time: fumigation must reach 24 hours, after fumigation, the fumigation team puts a fumigation logo with a skull mark on the cabinet door. After 24 hours, the fumigation team will remove the label and it will take 4 hours to disperse the poison before it can arrange entry into the port. If the dispersal time is not enough, closing the cabinet door may cause damage to the goods. Fumigation is best to be safer two days in advance. For export goods that need to be inspected, the goods must be delivered to the venue two days before the shipping deadline. (2) Requirements for packaging: wooden packaging must not have bark and insect eyes. If the wooden packaging has bark, the customs broker will generally help the customer to shovel the bark away; if there is a bug eye, the shipper needs to be notified to replace the packaging. If a fumigation certificate is required after fumigation, it will be used for customs clearance at the port of destination and cannot be refilled after the goods have left. (It is recommended that all customers issue this certificate). A. Label content IPPC is the International Plant Protection Convention Organization. According to my country's General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine No. 4 Announcement Notice in 2005, since March 1, 2005, goods with wooden packaging that are exported to the European Union, the United States, Canada, Australia and other countries must be stamped with special IPPC packaging. Logo. (Except for plywood, particleboard, fiberboard, etc.) B. After filling in the fumigation contact form, fumigation can only be done after the quarantine officer signs it, otherwise the fumigation team will not perform fumigation. C. Fumigation agent: CH3BR (under normal circumstances) D. When filling in the inspection form, if the goods need to be marked, fill in the 'remarks'. E. Import inspection: the goods arrive at the port of destination, and you can apply for inspection and customs declaration in exchange for the bill of lading. Inspection must be submitted for imported goods.
