Refrigerated road transport from Foshan to Moscow: water-based PU dispersion (liquid, 3909500000), hot-melt adhesive (solid, 3506919090), acrylic polymer (paste, 3906909090)
A chemical raw material distributor commissioned us to organize the shipment of chemical products from Foshan to Moscow. The consignment comprised materials in three different physical states: a water-based polyurethane dispersion (HS Code 3909500000, liquid), hot-melt adhesive (HS Code 3506919090, solid), and an acrylic polymer (HS Code 3906909090, paste). Following a comprehensive analysis, we proposed a solution utilizing refrigerated trucks for transport.
The project involved two primary challenges. First, maintaining a stable temperature throughout the route was critical; sharp temperature fluctuations could have caused the water-based polyurethane emulsion to separate or resulted in irreversible changes to the acrylic polymer's physical properties. Second, the shipment required strict adherence to regulations governing chemical products; any issues during customs clearance could have led to vehicle congestion at the border and significant demurrage costs.
To collect the cargo directly from the factory in Foshan, we deployed refrigerated trucks equipped with real-time temperature monitoring systems. We assumed full responsibility for processing all export documentation in China. Our specialists meticulously verified the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and transport condition certificates for each of the three HS codes. During this review, we identified a discrepancy between the labeling on the outer packaging of three drums and the product names listed in the MSDS; we promptly notified the supplier of the need for corrections, thereby averting potential issues during inspection. Thanks to the constant temperature control provided by refrigerated trucks, the cargo maintained the required temperature parameters throughout the entire journey from China to Russia. The shipment arrived successfully and on schedule at the client's warehouse in Moscow. Following inspection and sampling, the client confirmed the excellent condition of the goods and immediately put them into production.
