When engaged in food import work, there are several aspects that must be paid attention to:

1. The business should be legal and the business should be recognized

Agents or distributors must review the qualifications of foreign manufacturers to ensure their legitimacy.

According to the newly promulgated 'Regulations on the Registration and Administration of Foreign Production Enterprises of Imported Food' (hereinafter referred to as the 'Regulations'), the National Certification and Accreditation Administration (ie, the National Certification and Accreditation Administration) uniformly administers the registration and supervision of imported food foreign production enterprises and is responsible for Formulate and publish the 'Catalogue of Imported Food Implementing Enterprise Registration' (hereinafter referred to as the catalog).

When foreign manufacturers export the foods listed in the 'Catalog' to China, in addition to applying to the CNCA, the veterinary service system, plant protection system, and public health management system of the country (region) where the company is located must also Appraised as qualified by the CNCA.

2. Consignees of imported food should prepare relevant materials

When the goods are declared for entry, the import food consignee must provide these documents to the inspection and quarantine agency together with other shipping documents and commercial documents. When importing pre-packaged foods, Chinese labels should be printed in advance, and their content should comply with the 'General Standards for Food Labels' (GB7718-94).

After the above materials have passed the examination, in order to clear the port as soon as possible, the supervisor will issue a 'sanitary inspection release notice', and the owner of the goods will declare and pick up the goods on the basis of this form. After customs clearance, the goods should be stored in a warehouse recognized by the port inspection and quarantine agency. Supervisors will conduct on-site sanitation inspection and sanitation supervision of the goods, and at the same time randomly select some samples. According to my country's food hygiene standards and hygiene requirements, the supervisors determine the inspection items and send the samples to the laboratory for inspection with reference to the food hygiene status of the exporting country (region), the condition of the goods in transportation and storage, and the on-site supervision. During this period, the goods It should be sealed and not used or sold.
