Turkish air cargo market share increased to 5%

Turkish Air Cargo increased its market share in international air cargo to 5%, and carried 1 out of every 20 air cargoes worldwide.

According to a statement from the Turkish Airlines (THY) News Agency, during the pandemic felt worldwide, the global air cargo market was severely affected and contracted severely, shrinking by 18% between January and May.

On the other hand, compared with the same period last year, Turkish freight did not suffer any tonnage loss and served as a global bridge to ensure the smooth flow of the international supply chain.

According to data from WACD, an international air cargo information provider, in May, Turkish Cargo increased its market share to 5% and carried 1 in every 20 air cargoes worldwide.
