South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region handled 346 China-Vietnam freight train trips last year, up by over 108 percent from the previous year, according to the China Railway Nanning Group Co., Ltd.A total of 400 China-Vietnam freight train trips are expected to be made in 2022. 

Advantages of rail transportation:fast, low cost, safe, punctual, and generally unaffected by climatic conditions, suitable for long-distance transport of large, heavy goods.

Disadvantages of railway transportation: The damage rate of goods in railway transportation is high, and "door-to-door" transportation cannot be realized.

China-Vietnam Route：

Chongqing-Hanoi Transport time about 4-6 days

Hefei-Hanoi Transport time about 7 days

Guangzhou-Hanoi Transport time about 3 days

Guangxi-Hanoi Transport time about 3 days

Suzhou-Hanoi Transport time about 7-9 days

Kunming-Estuary Transport time about 1 days

At 18:30 on July 27, 2021, 42,090 trains, carrying more than 250 tons of Vietnamese supplies such as clothes and backpacks, departed from Pingxiang Railway Station in Guangxi. This is the first China-Europe freight train that my country has cooperated with Vietnam, realizing the combined transportation between China-Vietnam freight trains and China-Europe freight trains.

The train is expected to run for 25 days. After being reorganized in Zhengzhou, it will pass through Kazakhstan, Russia and other countries, and finally reach Belgium.

The combined transportation of China-Vietnam and China-Europe trains is mainly divided into two itineraries. Dongying Station in Hanoi, Vietnam - Pingxiang Station in China belongs to the China-Vietnam train. The transportation of this section of the line is in charge of the Vietnam Railway Corporation. China Pingxiang Station - Zhengzhou Putian Station (transit) - Belgium Liege Station, belonging to the China-Europe freight train, the transportation of this line is in charge of the Chinese railway department.

The success of the China-Vietnam railway international intermodal freight train has greatly increased the import and export volume of China-Vietnam-Europe.
