Port KELANG

The area is north of the Klang estuary, stretches along the coast from north to south, and is divided into south and north ports. Among them, berths 1-4 are ocean-going ship berths, ranging from 150-180 meters long, and the water depth along the border is 9.4-10.3 meters; berths 5-7 are berths for coastal ship berths The water depth is only 3.1-6.2 meters. Beigang is 5 kilometers north of Nangang. There are 18 deep-water berths (berths 8-25). The total length of the pier line is more than 4,900 meters, and the water depth along the border is 9.4-13.8 meters. Among them, No. 8 berth is 213 meters long and 11 meters deep. It is a berth for vehicles. Berths 9 and 10 are container terminals, each with a length of 320 meters and a water depth of 13.8 meters, equipped with five 36-ton loading and unloading bridges, and the terminal area is 48 hectares. Berths 16-18 are grain terminals. No. 19-21 is a general cargo berth, which is being transformed into a container terminal. Berths 22 and 23 are pile-type 'T' type dykes for loading and unloading liquid cargo. Berths 24 and 25 are bulk cargo berths.

PENANG (PINANG)

The port is divided into the east and west ports, and the east port area is located on the southern and north shores of the Puze estuary on the mainland. The Butterworth in the north strait of the estuary is the main modern port in the east port area. There are 6 berths for ocean-going ships, with a total length of 1051 meters and a low tide depth of 9.7 Meter. Among them, berths 5 and 6 in the north are used for container loading and unloading and vehicle loading and unloading. The terminal area is 11.6 hectares and there are two 35-ton loading and unloading bridges. In 1989, the port area handled more than 180,000 TEUs. Currently, a 350-meter-long container berth is being built in Beizhenhai, Pier 6, and the container throughput will reach 250,000 TEUs upon completion. Berth 1 and the adjacent Prai river bank are oil tanker berths, with an oil depot at the rear. Berths 2-4 are conventional trade berths, and the warehouse area on the dock is 34,800 square meters. There are also oil and coastal boat docks north and south of Butterworth Wharf. The Westport District is located in Penang Island in the northwest of the Eastport District, the top corner of the triangular peninsula projecting eastward and its southeast bank. There are also many 'T' jetties, of which Duantianxian jetty at the top corner has 2 ocean-going berths, 365 meters long, 9.7 meters deep at low tide, and a 4,366 square meter warehouse on the pier.

There are 6 main berths in the port area, the shoreline length is 1093m, and the maximum water depth is 12.2m. The loading and unloading equipment includes various shore cranes, container bridge cranes, forklifts, tractors and tugboats, among which the maximum lifting capacity of shore cranes is 36 tons and the maximum power of tugboats is 2354kW. The port area has a storage area of ??200,000 square meters, a grain silo capacity of 72,000 tons, and an oil tank capacity of 180,000 tons. The main import and export goods are wood, grain, oil, fertilizer and groceries.
