In trade terms, FCA (free carrier), that is, the freight carrier (designated place), the term can be used for various modes of transportation (including multimodal transport). Buyer and seller obligations

Seller ’s obligations:

1. At your own risk and expense, obtain an export license or other official approval document, and go through all customs procedures required for export of goods when customs procedures are required.

2. At the time and place stipulated in the contract, put the goods in accordance with the contract under the control of the carrier designated by the buyer, and notify the buyer in time.

3. Bear all costs and risks before handing over the goods to the carrier.

4. Provide the buyer with the usual documents for delivery at his own expense. If the buyer and seller agree to use electronic communication, all the documents can be replaced by electronic data interchange (EDI) information with the same effect.

Buyer obligations:

1. Responsible for arranging transportation, and give the seller full notice of the carrier's name, means of transportation, delivery time and place.

2. Since the seller delivered the goods, bear all risks of loss or damage of the goods.

3. Receive delivery certificate or equivalent electronic information according to the contract, and pay the payment according to the contract.

4. If the buyer is willing, the buyer can also take risks and expenses at his own expense, obtain any import license or other official license, and go through all customs procedures for importing goods and transiting from other countries when customs procedures are required.
