Air shipment from Urumqi to Estonia via Hungary: women's footwear, women's jackets, and headwear.
In June 2026, we organized a large-scale air freight shipment from Shanghai to Estonia. Given the surge in ocean freight rates and congestion at European ports—combined with strict deadlines for product launches—we opted for air transport to minimize the risk of delays.
The shipment comprised a total of 849 items, including women's shoes (HS Code: 6403990090), women's jackets (HS Code: 6202409000), and various headwear. The total volume was 152.68 cubic meters, with a chargeable weight of 25,447 kg.
To avoid the high costs associated with split shipments, we arranged an integrated "Sea-Air" transport solution: Port of Shanghai – Port of Urumqi – Urumqi Airport (URC) – Budapest (BUD) – Tallinn (TLL). We negotiated a preferential rate of $5.60 per kilogram with the carrier for the entire journey.
Our team of customs experts meticulously verified all HS codes and leveraged their extensive experience to expedite export formalities in China, ensuring smooth transshipment at the Budapest (BUD) hub. The total transportation cost was $132,845, and the eight-day transit time fully met the client's schedule, thereby averting substantial contract penalties and the risk of losing the client.
Subsequently, the apparel and footwear were successfully stocked and sold at major retail outlets across Europe. By flexibly allocating resources between China and Europe and efficiently utilizing transit hubs, we effectively safeguarded the stability of the client's supply chain.
