Mandatory requirements for exporting and importing Iran

According to the regulations of the Office of Overseas Assets (OFAC) and the laws and regulations of the Iranian government, all goods exported and imported to Iran must meet relevant mandatory requirements.

　　The specific mandatory requirements are as follows:

　　When creating a customer code, you must provide the Iranian customer’s economic code, country code and postal code;

　　Because some products are restricted, please contact Maersk Line sales representative before booking;

　　For goods exported from Iran, the shipper must be Iranian;

　　For goods imported into Iran, the consignee must be Iranian;

　　In the booking stage, the shipper, consignee and/or first informant (if applicable) must be provided to ensure that the relevant party of the cargo is not on the prohibited list;

　　In the booking stage, all cargo-related parties will conduct OFAC verification. If any prohibited lists are found, the booking will be rejected;

　　For all goods imported into Iran, the HS code of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe must be provided during the export manifest;

　　 For all goods imported into Iran, the carrier box number must be provided at the export manifest stage;

　　 On the bill of lading imported to Iran, the consignee is prohibited from displaying as 'TO ORDER';

　　For goods imported into Iran, it is prohibited to display the 'transit' clause to any other destination on the bill of lading;

　　For goods exported from Iran, the freight must be paid on collection, and only local charges at the port of departure can be collected locally in Iran;

　　For goods imported into Iran, the freight must be prepaid, and only the local cost of the destination port can be collected locally in Iran;

　　For goods imported into Iran, a check deposit, a guarantee for the safe return of the container and a cash deposit for (potential) demurrage must be provided;

　　It is forbidden to accept goods shipped from/to Saudi Arabia and Israel.
